As such, his absence was felt over the last few weeks, with the Whites having to worryingly rely solely on Patrick Bamford to lead the line – and no other senior striker on the bench to take his place.

A few weeks out is not what either party would have wanted but it has provided Nketiah with a period of rest and supporters will hope he comes back re-energised and with a renewed motivation to break into the first team, ready to score the goals necessary for promotion.
There has been talk recently of the Gunners recalling him from his loan in January, something fans are keen not to happen, with a few sending messages to Nketiah in a bid to persuade him to stay.
