da 888: Welcome to another edition of Forecasting Good Fixtures, in which we look to see which clubs have a rather kind run of games in their next several clashes.
da supremo: Many Fantasy Premier League managers base their teams on which players have a good chance of returning points in the upcoming weeks, and after that ‘run’ they are transferred out for another player who are also expected to do the same.
And it’s important to snap these players up a bit earlier than your mini league rivals, which could give you a decent differential in a few games before they become main-stream.
These games can also give you a slight preview on who you should consider to captain in the upcoming weeks, in the case that you want to be brave and take the armband away from a certain Sergio Aguero.
Without further ado, here are three teams that have favourable fixtures coming up in the next few weeks.
Everton
Last week we also put Everton as a team to consider heading into the next few games with Swansea City playing them at Goodison Park, but the Toffees disappointed managers by losing 2-1 to the struggling Welsh club.
And with many captaining Romelu Lukaku (9.2), it was a big blow to those that trusted the Belgian.
However, the Toffees still have three favourable games on the horizon, with Newcastle United (Home), Stoke City (Away), and West Brom (Home) their next opponents.
It would be advisable to hold onto your Everton assets for the time being.
Arsenal
After their 1-0 loss to Chelsea at the Emirates, the Gunners have a chance to bounce back when they face Southampton again at home next Tuesday, with Arsene Wenger’s men looking to get revenge on their shock 4-0 loss to the Saints earlier this season.
Mind you that Arsenal have not lost at home in a league game to Southampton since 1987, and another victory for the Saints looks extremely unlikely.
After that, the Gunners travel to Bournemouth and then host league leaders Leicester City, in what is expected to be a thrilling encounter.
It could also be a good time to sign recovered star Alexis Sanchez (10.8) ahead of this run, or take a chance on Olivier Giroud (9.2) who was unlucky to be substituted against Chelsea last weekend.
Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace players are another set of Fantasy Premier League assets you should consider, with the Eagles facing four of the bottom seven clubs in the next five games.
Alan Pardew’s men play Bournemouth (Home), Swansea (Away), Watford (Home), West Brom (Away), and Sunderland (Away), with Watford being the only team above them in the division.
And although their form has been poor with no wins in their last six games and only one goal scored during that period, three out of their four loses were against Chelsea, Manchester City, and Tottenham Hotspur.
However, the best news coming from Selhurst Park is the signing of Emmanuel Adebayor, who could be Palace’s man to properly lead an attack full of creative attacking midfielders (such as Wilfried Zaha [5.3] and Jason Puncheon [5.5]) to score the much needed goals.
