da supremo: As reported by Italian outlet TuttoSport, Juventus are stepping up their interest in red-hot Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.
What’s the story?
da 888: Everton’s star man has again shown this season why he’s one of the best strikers in the Premier League with seven goals in twelve appearances for Ronald Koeman’s men.
His form is so good that Juventus are already preparing a massive summer deal for the Belgian international.
TuttoSport report that officials from the Italian giants have made trips to Liverpool to watch Lukaku and made initial enquiries about what it’d take to bring the man to Italy.
Although Evertonians are slowly coming to terms with the fact that Lukaku won’t be at Goodison much longer, fans can rest easy with regard to January as the Italian report also goes on to say this move is for the summer transfer window.
Time to go
In his 4th season at Everton, including the one on loan from Chelsea, Lukaku has undoubtedly been the Toffees’ best player for quite a while.
The striker has scored 68 goals in 140 appearances and has often won points on his own with his power and pace terrifying opposition defenders.
Despite this, Ronald Koeman recently admitted that Lukaku had to leave Goodison to fully fulfil his potential.
Quoted by the Belgian outlet HLN, Koeman said: “If Romelu was to play for Everton until the end of his career, I know he has left something behind. His potential is greater and higher than Everton as a final destination.”
For Everton fans, it’s the reality of modern football, but not any easier to bear. It seems that eventually, whether the Juventus deal comes off or not, that they’ll have to come to terms with saying goodbye to their hero.
